Advisement appointments for summer school start on March 1st.
I'm undecided as of what to do for summer.
I had thought about going ahead and getting my general psychology course out of the way. However, I'm thinking I want to go ahead and purchase my study materials for the personal training certification and take the NASM exam as soon as possible. Therefore, I may just study for the NASM all summer.
I could do personal training while I am in grad school for physical therapy.
Now I am just researching NASM v. ACE. Everything I have read so far says to go for the NASM. I'm a bit confused. I don't care if one test is harder than another. I'm not looking for the easy way out here. I want to get the best personal trainer's certification possible.
I'm leaning more towards Personal Trainer or an Advanced Health & Fitness Specialist (or both).
Right now, it is hard to study for anything else while working full-time and taking Anatomy & Physiology at night.
I also need to go ahead and get my CPR/AED/First Aid certification as well. I will need those to get into the DPT program at MUSC and to be a personal trainer.
